Steel City Emergency Vets

This is the most gracious, loving, compassionate, professional, emotionally intelligent and committed team I have ever encountered… My fur baby “TuDi” gave birth to 8 pups and I didn’t know she had one lodged inside, my baby was going to die if I didn’t get her any help, thank God for such an amazing team!! Thank you to all the staff, nurses, doctors and to Dr. Kandace Jordan that used her blessed hands on my baby.. thank you soo much I honestly can’t thank you all enough. Thank you for making sure I understood after-care instructions… I am so happy that my baby was well taken care of and she is now home with me and the pups… I highly recommend you bring your pet to this location for immediate attention and care, they will be in good hands..

While on vacation our 13 year old dog decided to get into and eat the remainder of his heart medicine. The wait was expected and no worse than what we experience in Maryland with the ER vet we go to. Steel City however has coffee and snacks which is a wonderful extra touch. ❤️ Very nice and caring staff. Thank y’all for taking care of my “baby”!

Be careful bringing your dog here. My Great Dane broke his leg- 2 months later, his leg is filled with infecting. Just took him to another emergency vet. They said Steel wasn't equipped to do this surgery and shouldn't of done it so fast. They stole $3grand from us basically to perform a surgery they weren't supposed to do🤬🤬🤬🤬now he's fighting to keep his leg!! New emergency vet says it's never going to heal the same because of how bad they messed up the surgery!! I can't even believe it!

One of the best and most thoughtful places I have been to for an emergency vet. Staff, techs, and the veterinary were so kind and understanding. Brought my 10 week puppy in while he was having issues in the middle of the night. They worked with me and helped him get on track till I could take him to his regular vet. 100% recommend this facility for any emergency your pet has

The nurse and doctor was very helpful and courteous. Besides the receptionist she was kinda loud with us cause we asked if she repeat something and kinda was rude. They were a little busy but still quick. I just wanna say thank you all for doing what you could for my puppy also giving us our options and being truthful with us. Sadly my dog did not get to make it home but they were really sweet and compassionate also very patient!! Thank you all!

The facility is clean and the ladies up front were quick and friendly. They took my cat back pretty quickly and about 10-15 minutes later we get called into the room to be immediately told our cat is in heat without even doing any scans or tests. I knew this wasn’t the case as I’ve seen her in heat many times. The vet said he would do an ultrasound if it would make me feel better and I agreed. He came back said the ultrasound was perfectly fine but also proceeds to tell me she’s “a little warm” insinuating she has a low fever. Also not normal for a cat in heat. Then they say uti so they do a urine analysis it came back normal and they send us home. My cat had an open pyometra and is deadly if not treated immediately which I told them that’s what I thought was happening. I spent $330 and got no help. Went to my regular vet immediately the next day and they rushed her back immediately after showing them the picture of the vaginal discharge which I also showed to the vet at steel city. Had we listened to this vet I would have been burying my full of life overall healthy girl. He gave us an info sheet on cats in heat and a speech about “manually seducing” her. I’m not sure if the vet didn’t feel like doing the surgery or whatever the reason for the poor care we received he knew she wasn’t in heat and so did I.
